ANNOUNCING: Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Forum at the Summit

Saturday, October 3 | 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

As Maine’s 2026 gubernatorial election approaches, health care remains central to the future of our state.

We’re pleased to announce an update to the Maine Medicine Educational Summit. Saturday evening’s program will now feature a Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, offering physicians an opportunity to hear directly from candidates for governor about their perspectives on health care in Maine.

Gubernatorial candidates Rick Bennett, Bobby Charles, and Hannah Pingree have been invited and are expected to participate in this nonpartisan forum. Candidates will be asked to address a range of health care topics relevant to Maine physicians, patients, and communities, including access to care, the needs of rural and aging populations, and the future of Maine’s health care system.

The forum will provide an opportunity for Maine’s medical community to learn more about how candidates view the health care challenges and opportunities facing our state.

The Maine Medicine Educational Summit is open to all physicians, regardless of MMA membership. Join us for a weekend of continuing medical education, connection with colleagues, and timely programming relevant to medicine and practice today.

October 2-4, 2026 | Harborside Hotel, Spa & Marina | Bar Harbor, Maine
