Hanley Center’s Nursing Leadership Institute and Advanced Practice Providers Course Now Enrolling

Nursing Leadership Institute:

Nurses are confronting challenges that demand strong foundational business and management and skills. As a physician dedicated to the advancement of healthcare, you understand the vital role nurses play in patient care and the overall success of your team and organization. Investing in developing nurses’ leadership skills is essential.

Our Nursing Leadership Institute course curriculum is tailored to nurses’ unique needs. Throughout six, 3-hour virtual sessions, enrolled nurses will journey with us through topics and strategies critical to their success. Participants will:

  • Equip emerging nursing leaders with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to be successful in their leadership roles.
  • Develop awareness of and refine their leadership approach to navigate opportunities and challenges in nursing practice.
  • Build a network of trusted nurse colleagues that they can carry into their future.

Course logistics:

  • All sessions are virtual, and held from 8:00-11:00 a.m., EST.

  • Session 2: November 18: Leading Teams and Collaboration
  • Session 3: December 16: Coaching and Managing Performance

  • Session 6: March 3: Leading Change and Managing Resistance

Advanced Practice Providers: Driving Impact in Practice Course:

As a physician, you understand that Advanced Practice Providers are increasingly taking on business and management responsibilities across a wide range of practice settings, and that investing in developing their leadership and management skills is essential.

Our APPs, Driving Impact in Practice course, is designed to support APPs’ skill building and enable their success. This virtual program provides a dynamic learning experience with facilitated sessions that explore teamwork and collaboration, conflict resolution, systems awareness, and business skills to name a few. This is also an opportunity for participants to build their network of APP  colleagues. 

Course logistics:

The course consists of:

  • 7 virtual sessions over 7 months
  • All sessions will be delivered on Mondays, 5:30-8:30pm, via Zoom

  • Session 2: November 16 – Leading Self with Emotional Intelligence
  • Session 3: December 14 – Leading Others with Courageous Conversations

  • Session 6: March 15 – Leadings Teams and Collaboration
  • Session 7: April 12 – Leading the Enterprise
