What:
- Free training and certification to perform forensic medical or psychiatric evaluations to support asylum applications
- Open to all physicians, residents, medical students, and other health care providers
- Attendees eligible for CME
When:

Why:
- Studies indicate asylum seekers who receive forensic medical evaluations are twice as likely to have their asylum cases approved
- Maine has an extreme shortage of providers trained to perform forensic medical evaluations
